BOOK REVIEW: LIFE BEFORE LEGEND by Marie Lu

Life Before Legend (Legend, #0.5)Life Before Legend by Marie Lu
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Life before Legend is a great companion novella for the Legend series. It maybe short but it was an interesting read because it was an account about the life June and Day had right after their Trial. Legend series fans are in for a treat.

Here in this novella, we see Day trying to stay alive and fend for himself. His day went from stealing food, kissing a girl (Charlie), working for Charlie's father for a few days ... and eventually led to messing up with the Republic soldiers. In the other half of the book, we witness June's first day in Drake University. It's a typical June day. There's also Metias and June moments in this novella and it just makes me miss Metias more. Just thinking that he's ... *sigh*

I can't help but laugh that in someway June and Day's path already crossed even before the start of Legend. Well, Day was the reason why June became late for her pledge! Read this novella to know more about it!

"Someday, someone out there will see you for the girl you really are. Someday, you'll find someone who understands you." - Metias Iparis
