BOOK REVIEW: REBOOT (Reboot #1) by Amy Tintera

I'm reposting this BOOK REVIEW for REBOOT since I've currently reread it. And yep, I was definitely refreshing myself with everything that had happened in this book before I proceed into reading an ARC of REBEL. Hihi! :)

Title: REBOOT (Reboot #1)
Author: Amy Tintera (Website | Twitter
Publisher: HarperTeen
Published: May 7, 2013

SYNOPSIS

Five years ago, Wren Connolly was shot three times in the chest. After 178 minutes she came back as a Reboot: stronger, faster, able to heal, and less emotional. The longer Reboots are dead, the less human they are when they return. Wren 178 is the deadliest Reboot in the Republic of Texas. Now seventeen years old, she serves as a soldier for HARC (Human Advancement and Repopulation Corporation).

Wren’s favorite part of the job is training new Reboots, but her latest newbie is the worst she’s ever seen. As a 22, Callum Reyes is practically human. His reflexes are too slow, he’s always asking questions, and his ever-present smile is freaking her out. Yet there’s something about him she can’t ignore. When Callum refuses to follow an order, Wren is given one last chance to get him in line—or she’ll have to eliminate him. Wren has never disobeyed before and knows if she does, she’ll be eliminated, too. But she has also never felt as alive as she does around Callum.

The perfect soldier is done taking orders.

I finished reading this book a couple of hours ago and was debating if I should make a review/reaction post or not. Well then, I decided to craft one because this book is sooooo good (for me, guys. I definitely encourage you to try reading this book and then you can tell me what you think of it). I won’t be into the details of the story; I just want to vent out and share my emotions towards this book. SPOILER-FREE POST. I think.

BOOK (REBOOT): I haven’t read any other book with the same concept as to this one. With dead people coming back to life *coughs* not the vampire type of thing *coughs* or should I say dead people REBOOTED to life. I love how Amy Tintera set up the pacing of the book, it really fits the concept and story perfectly. From the moment you get started with this book, you’re immediately thrown into its world and face the bad-assery (is that even a word? LOL) of One seventy-eight. With everything single page you turn, there's something happening with the characters. Just so good. No more unnecessary lines, paragraphs or whatsoever were included; the story was just presented as it is. My mind just slipped in to the story easily. WARNING: There are parts of this book that you may need to stop reading for a bit ‘cause YOU WON’T CONTAIN YOUR FEELS. All in all, it’s a thumbs up for me!

BOOK NEWS: Emma Chase's Tangled Series gets a FOURTH NOVEL!

Emma Chase broke the news a couple of hours ago on Twitter about the Tangled Series having a FOURTH NOVEL, entitled TIED. The book will be in Drew Evans' POV (Sweet!) and will be released on October 2014. Check out her tweets:

Mark and add TIED in your "to read" list on Goodreads, using this link

BUT if you aren't familiar with this series yet, then you better read the SYNOPSIS for the first book of the series which is TANGLED:

Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.(

Waiting on Wednesday: RUIN AND RISING by Leigh Bardugo

"Waiting on Wednesday" is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that I or us, readers are eagerly anticipating. This is the first time that I'm participating in this really cool event, sooooo I'm quite happy to present to you my pick this week ...

Title: RUIN AND RISING (The Grisha #3)
Author: Leigh Bardugo (Website | Twitter)
Publisher: Henry Holt and Co.
Expected publication: June 17, 2014

SYNOPSIS:
The capital has fallen. The Darkling rules Ravka from his shadow throne.

Now the nation's fate rests with a broken Sun Summoner, a disgraced tracker, and the shattered remnants of a once-great magical army.

Deep in an ancient network of tunnels and caverns, a weakened Alina must submit to the dubious protection of the Apparat and the zealots who worship her as a Saint. Yet her plans lie elsewhere, with the hunt for the elusive firebird and the hope that an outlaw prince still survives.

Alina will have to forge new alliances and put aside old rivalries as she and Mal race to find the last of Morozova's amplifiers. But as she begins to unravel the Darkling's secrets, she reveals a past that will forever alter her understanding of the bond they share and the power she wields. The firebird is the one thing that stands between Ravka and destruction—and claiming it could cost Alina the very future she’s fighting for.

Ramblings. You're probably wondering why I choose Ruin and Rising as the first book that I featured here rather than my pick for my MOST anticipated book of 2014, which is City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare. Well, the answer is ...it's because of the fact that I just finished reading both Shadow and Bone and Siege and Storm last week. So, my Grisha feels are still all over the place. I tell you, those books are just so awesome and how Leigh Bardugo played with the plot and her characters - uhhh those were the bombs, two thumbs up and high fives of these series! I highly recommend this to you, guys!

"Shadow and Bone is the first book of The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo and this one’s a really great way to start off a series. This book is set in this very unique, dark and magical world of Ravka where Kings, Queens and this super cool people called The Grisha or “Soldiers of the Second Army – Masters of the Small Science” exists. I highly suggest that you start reading this book with a clear head and doesn’t have any book hangovers because there are a number of terms that you need to take in. It could get quite overwhelming at first but once you get the hang of it, I’m sure you’ll immensely enjoy it.", from my review of Shadow and Bone.
"Siege and Storm is definitely packed with adventure, action, tension, magic here and there, jaw-dropping moments and a smidge of romance!", from my review of Siege and Storm.

BOOK REVIEW: SLAMMED by Colleen Hoover

Title: SLAMMED (First book of the Slammed Series)
Author: Colleen Hoover

SYNOPSIS

Following the unexpected death of her father, 18-year-old Layken is forced to be the rock for both her mother and younger brother. Outwardly, she appears resilient and tenacious, but inwardly, she's losing hope.

Enter Will Cooper: The attractive, 21-year-old new neighbor with an intriguing passion for slam poetry and a unique sense of humor. Within days of their introduction, Will and Layken form an intense emotional connection, leaving Layken with a renewed sense of hope.

Not long after an intense, heart-stopping first date, they are slammed to the core when a shocking revelation forces their new relationship to a sudden halt. Daily interactions become impossibly painful as they struggle to find a balance between the feelings that pull them together, and the secret that keeps them apart.

Immediate thought after reading this book. Wait. Wow, this book is abso-freakin’-lutely beautiful and moving. There were tears in my eyes, I think; starting from the last two chapters of the book until I reach the
epilogue.

Ramblings. Am I the last person on Earth to read this book? Slammed is one of those books that I’ve been putting off since I checked its rating and some reviews here on Goodreads. Yep, I’m crazy. I don’t know, I just have this weird thinking that I know it’s going to be an awesome read and I just don’t want to be done with it yet. Though, yesterday I had this sudden feeling of wanting and being giddy to read this one already. So here, I am … I caved in and finished it in just a few hours. I’ve read the Hopeless Series and I can certainly say that Colleen Hoover and Slammed didn’t disappoint.

My thoughts. This isn’t the type of book where readers just witness how the story of the main characters go – fall in love and suddenly there's a certain hindrance for them to be able to pursue their love for each other, but Slammed gives us more than that. Not only we get to have a swoon-worthy dude and his swoon-worthy poems but all throughout the novel bits and pieces of life lessons were injected. The story finds its way to touch our hearts and impart something to us, readers. It touches, teaches and makes us feel all these kinds of feels. With that, I can definitely say that no amount of time that you alloted in reading this book will be put to waste.

Slammed didn’t just present us all the rainbows and unicorn moments in a person’s life but we’re constantly reminded with the inevitable matter in life - which is death. We are treated with a front row seat of the highs and lows a family could experience. There were also portrayals of days where a person experiences pure bliss but to balance it out there were days where life just felt the need to pull the rug under our feet – wherein all we can do is learn and suck it all up. Those that I’ve mentioned just made the entire book very realistic and very relatable.

Poetry absolutely played a big role in this book. I loooooove the whole concept of it and that’s actually what makes this book entirely unique. I don’t know about you, but I haven’t read any book with that kind of concept where we get to know more about these characters not in the normal way (wherein they just talk and have conversations with each other ) BUT instead we have this slam poetry or poems through the course of the book. With just a single poem, it feels like we know more about their characters in a deeper sense and it makes us feel a lot towards them. Their happiness turns into our own happiness and their heartaches turn into our own heartaches. And yeah, we get those a lot in this book. So you better prepare your heart before reading this book. Not to mention, those poems were powerful, moving and uhhh just perfect.

Let’s talk about the main characters …

Layken and Will. These two are just sooooo adorable together, that even when that part where a huge bomb was dropped on us … I was still shipping them and just all the way hoping for everything to work out in the end. Will. *swoons* He's definitely gonna be part of my Book Boyfriend list! Aaaand his poems, everything was wonderful.

Julia Cohen, Layken’s mom, definitely played a huge role in Layken and Will's relationship. I would also love to have a person like her in my life. READ THE EPILOGUE and you'll know why. There were really big fat tears in my eyes when I was reading that part of the book. It was such a beautiful moment for Lake and Will. I CRY.

Kel and Caulder. Aaaaaah this cutie duo! Talking backwards and all that, I just wanna hug these two. At such a young age they've already experienced so many things in life - even life altering situations but they still managed to come out strong and be just like any other kid. I'm thankful that they've got each other's back now and will forever be buddies.

Unique, utterly realistic and relatable, filled with life lessons, amazing poetry, swoon-worthy male lead character and oh well romance … what more would you ask for, dear readers? Slammed is a complete package already, that all you need to do is pick it up in the bookstores near you! This is one of the series that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

And ooooh wait. Colleen Hoover’s going to try to something new again with her upcoming book, Maybe Someday. She has this cool thing going on there where songs will be incorporated in the novel and I guess, same with this one, that’s how the main characters of the book will get to know each other. I’m sure that just like Slammed; Maybe Someday will also rock and deliver Colleen Hoover goodness!

Point of Retreat is currently waiting for me.
So … bye x

BOOK REVIEW: SHADOW AND BONE by Leigh Bardugo

Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1)Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Immediate thought after reading this book. Well shit, there’s a lot of good stuff going on in this book. *flails around*.

My thoughts. Ignite Me really did a huge favour for me - it brought back my fervour for reading YA fantasy books and my YA feels. I’ve been meaning to read Shadow and Bone for months already but my mood just doesn’t want to cooperate with me. Now that I finally did, holy crap I can say that I was definitely missing a whole lot of awesomeness because of not reading this series way back when I started marking books here on Goodreads.

Shadow and Bone is the first book of The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo and this one’s a really great way to start off a series. It could get quite overwhelming at first but once you get the hang of it, I’m sure you’ll immensely enjoy it.

The first half of the book is obviously concentrated on the world building stuff and getting the readers comfortable with it. And we do it along side our main character, Alina, because as the book opens she’s also thrust into this world unfamiliar to her. All her life she has led a simple life as an orphan and as a part of the First Army (mapmaker), then suddenly to be revealed that she has a great power inside of her … That sure is a tough transition to go through. So, the earlier parts of the book just delves with Alina recognizing/accepting her powers, honing it and learning the theories that surrounds this new life she’s living. Note: I may or may not have to put the book down at some point because I want every bit of information to thoroughly sink inside of my mind.

But when you reach 50-60% of the book, now that’s where things got really interesting! This is where the element of surprise, the tension and action part of the story comes in. Bam bam and bam, we’re bombarded with revelations surrounding a certain character. I. was. actually. shocked. *runs around the house* I was like, what did just happen? Is that for real? Orrrrr? From that point, the flow and the pacing of the story picks up and you’ll just want to devour the remaining pages of the book. And if it isn’t obvious to you yet, this is the part where I go say “Pick this book up and read it!!!”.

Oh aside from the cool terms, another thing that I like about this book is that we actually get to have a map of the entire world Bardugo created. Sweet! It definitely helped in picturing every scene out since our characters did a lot of travelling in this book.

The Darkling. You, lil shit! You’re giving me feels at 1AM in the morning! Ughhh can you not? And then … the next second knowing what you’re planning *flips table*. Please tell me, there’s something good inside of you????!!!! Haaaiii he’s such a complicated character.

I’m definitely excited on what’ll happen in next book. There are so many questions swirling in my head right now, like: 1) What happened to The Darkling? I’m sure he’s alive because DUHHH but how did he manage to get out of the Shadow Fold? 2) What will he do next concerning Alina’s departure? 3) What will happen next to Alina and Mal? 4) I’m sure Alina and The Darkling will be reunited in that book … but the question is how? 5) What evil ways could The Darkling do to the people of Ravka? 6) Is The Darkling reaaaaaaally that bad? Or there’s just something going on with his character, thus he have this need to be bad? 7) Will he be able to redeem himself or NOT? 8) Am I crazy for liking the idea of The Darkling and Alina together? Though, Mal *swoons* I should prolly stop there and just get started with Siege and Storm. So …

Bye x

BOOK REVIEW: Be With Me by J.Lynn

Summary of Be With Me

Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.

Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.

As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…

My thoughts:

I may have not finished reading Covenant series and got started with Bittersweet Love yet, but I can say that I’m a huuuuuuuge fan of JLynn/JLA. I just love her, she’s one of those authors that can write more than one genre and that her finished product is still an awesome book. I devoured the Lux series, Wait For You and Frigid last year, and I can say that one of the great things about her is that she really builds up great chemistry with her characters – like you can taste their chemistry already, or you even wish that the characters already make out. Oh and wait, she’s definitely bringing it when it comes to the hot and heavy scenes!

Be With Me is definitely much drama-packed than Wait For You. There’s so many issues revolving around Teresa and Jase, personal issues and issues that wasn’t theirs but yeah shit happens in this book. Teresa, bless this girl for having such a biiiiig heart, and I’m sure you’ll say that too once you finish reading this book. There were so many moments in the story that truly tested Teresa’s character and you’ll just see that by the end of all those scenes she comes out forgiving and stronger more than ever. She also acts more matured than Jase, considering that Teresa is being babied by her brother and their parents.

Jase *shakes my head*, I’m a tiny bit disappointed with his character. I know that he’s got personal issues going on but he’s really a douche for just being hot and then cold to Teresa. He doesn’t need to drag this poor girl down alongside of him. (Though, with Teresa being herself, I know she would welcome every opportunity to be there for/with Jase.) Nevertheless, I still like his character because of how caring he gets when it comes to Teresa. And I’m sad for him too, because of what he has been going through for years already. There’s so much pain, fear and guilt laced with Jase, which he needs to work out and let go for him to give himself/his heart a chance again.

There were two scenes in this book where my mouth was just hanging open. I. WAS. EXTREMELY. SHOCKED. with the revelations (concerning Jase) and just how the story turned out for a certain character. I totally didn’t saw those coming. So there’s that element of surprise in this book too. The ending of the book though, I don’t know … I kinda feel that the characters were rushing everything again. Like whoa, FUTURE together. Big step. But whatevs, that’s just me.

Aha! Be With Me also stepped it up a notch in the NA department. So, there’s definitely loads of *fans myself* moments in this book.

Fast track: (1) Hell yeah! There are quite a number of scenes where Cam and Avery are around. It’s such a joy having this couple in this book and seeing how far they’ve come from the "Wait For You" days. (2) Wait. Is Brandon and Calla getting their own book? Because OH MY GOSH you can feel the tension between these two in that SINGLE scene where both of them were in!! I need to know what the back story of their relationship is!!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

BOOK REVIEW: IGNITE ME by Tahereh Mafi

Ignite Me (Shatter Me, #3)Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Immediate thought after reading this book. WOW.

Story and Writing Style. I can still remember that moment last year when I entered the bookstore, just caught myself staring at this super pretty book cover and randomly picking it up among the stacks of books. Yes, it was just last year when I’ve read the first book of this series, Shatter Me, and I know that it was just in time for the book release of Unravel Me. Upon starting Shatter Me, I was kind of taken aback with its writing style … the strikethroughs, the repetition and the use of overly dramatic/poetic words which in one way or another quite bothered me. Yet still, I didn’t give up on the entire series because I know that there’s a bigger reason why that specific writing style was needed to be used on that book.

And I was right on that note.

Looking back to Shatter Me and finishing Ignite Me, fans of the series will surely notice the change on how these books were written. Gone are the strikethroughs, constant repetition of words and the hint of indecision of every word written down on it. All gone. But to people who’ve tried to read Shatter Me and just gave up on it because of those things won’t quite get the full reason to it. So, I tell you that it’s because of Juliette’s character being meticulously interwoven in its writing style/narrative voice– her growth, mental, emotional stability and every aspect of her character reflects on it. And I love that. This series is told not in the bland or angsty way but in a very unique and Juliette way. Shatter Me is just a chapter of Juliette’s life and yes, it may annoy you to some extent BUT please don’t give up on it. You won’t get the full effect of how beautiful this series is until you turn the last page of Ignite Me. I’m also sure that the fans appreciate all of these books more than ever upon finishing the entire series. Heads up, this book also shows the growth and talent of Tahereh Mafi as a writer.

Another thing that I love about this book is the fact that there’s the given tension about the war with Anderson/the Reestablishment yet the tension is being toned down by the writing style. Not most of the time we need to read and imagine tension-filled scenes through nitty gritty words but we can also have that same imagination using airy, beautifully chosen and poetic words. Sometimes it may even amp up our visions with those words in place. We also have to consider that these characters are just teens and right here enters how Mafi is the perfect storyteller for this book. It’s because of how fun she gets and how playful she is with her choice of words and sentence/paragraph structure despite the enormity of the situation. It somewhat gives us a young/fresh, so not dreading effect and the feel of “the weight being lifted off our shoulders” while reading this book. Additional: If you’re still not following this woman on Twitter, you better do it now because you’re missing a whole lot of coolness in your timeline. Her tweets are just LMAO and EPIC!

Dystopian or not. For me, Shatter Me Series or The Juliette Chronicles is a story SET in a dystopian world BUT HIGHLY FOCUSES on Juliette’s character and the relationships that she builds among the other characters of the story. Yes, there’s war and all rebellion stuff but it quite serves as the base/background for Juliette to accept herself and find her place.

Characters. In the beginning of the series, we were presented with characters that experienced so many unfortunate events in their lives which truly affected and shaped them to be who they are (during Shatter Me). And during the course of three books and two novellas we see them how they were able to pull through from their dark places, find themselves and go through the necessary changes to empower their characters.

I actually love the fact that the story focused more on the characters rather than the common world building and heavy war stuff because the characters in these books are so interesting and have so many layers and secrets that needs to be shed out. There are some books out there that present their stories and characters in just BAMMMM descriptive type of way but here in this series, the main characters are all fleshed out to the core. May it be negative attitude that we see in these characters or positive ones, all of it is presented to us. So, by the end of Ignite Me it feels like I or we know them personally.

Juliette. My my, Juliette. The writing of the books itself will tell you how much her character has grown from Shatter Me to Ignite Me. And I swear, witnessing how Juliette’s character changed/evolved book after book is purely amazing and wonderful.

Shatter Me Juliette is still there with her dramatics and all but we now have a very strong woman. From being a person who’s always full of doubt about herself and her surrounding, she turned into a self-assured one. From being passive, she turned into a very active and vocal one. She isn’t the complacent one either and just continues to lie around but she turned into a charged and powerful one – full blown leader. I also noticed that Juliette’s mind was working overtime here in Ignite Me, her plans are just whoa. Clap clap. clap. And lastly, I utterly commend her for not being all emotions in this book.

These changes may seem to be abrupt for some but nahhh … All of those were just inside of her, waiting to be tapped and for her to be willing and to own it. Juliette discovered what was lying dormant inside of her and used it to its full potential - for herself and for the greater good. She let herself go, feel mad about things, accept her powers and how she truly is and just learn to be more of what she previously was. With that I think, Tahereh Mafi perfected the self-discovery element of the story.

Warner. We actually learn a lot about his character in this book – his actions and intentions from Shatter Me days, his father, his mother, his grandfather, the jade ring and his connection to Adam. Warner is still the brutally honest person we’ve met in Shatter Me but readers will surely take in his character into a new light because of the revelations that surrounds his character. Though, *stares at my nails* I’m still here just sitting, grinning like a Cheshire cat and waiting for everybody to realize it. I KNEW IT! Since Shatter Me, I had already this weird fervour towards his character even if he was portrayed as this psychotic dude. And then Destroy Me came … Unravel Me … lastly Ignite Me.

Though, I would just have to comment on Warner’s attitude towards the plans of Juliette before and after they had this “thing” with Anderson and his force. I would love to have more scenes of himself questioning Juliette or in some cases even disagrees with her. (view spoiler)

Guys, is Warner the Christian Grey of YA Bookverse? READ. THE. BOOK. NOW. *fans myself*

Juliette-Warner. Hot damn, these two! All the feels in this world should belong to these two right now. Haaaaa those scenes *splashes myself with cold water*!!! I can say that Mafi can really deliver sexyyyyyy scenes! I like how she describes it through the different emotions Juliette experiences at that moment and not describes it to us in the typical way – which might end up for this book to turn from YA to NA genre.

Their whole dynamics just feels so right with both of them challenging each other and all. Yes, Warner is protective of Juliette but he isn’t the type of guy who will just cage her and won’t allow a room for her to grow. He pushes all the right buttons for Juliette to realize her full strength. And you’ll just know it that they’re perfect for each other.

Adam. I feel like I don’t know him already BUT of course we really don’t know him because we were just shown the other side of the coin. And from that we’ve perceived/created this whole notion of him to be this perfectly good character. Thus, we faced disappointment and spewing wtfs when we see this OTHER SIDE of his character.

Inhale, exhale. There were scenes that I hate him with a burning passion bbbut he’s just a human being who got hurt and got his heart broken. He even said terrible terrible things to Juliette and it truly broke my heart. *sigh* I don’t know if I consider this as a very great move from Mafi, when in fact she knows that there’s also a huge crowd supporting this character. It could’ve been great if Adam’s character was still able to fully redeem himself at the end of the book – like giving him a scene where we can see that other side of Adam that we saw in Shatter Me and Unravel me. I think, everything would’ve been perfect because of that.

Kenji. I would love to have a best friend just like Kenji, where can I possibly find one? Sad. Anyways. Kenji’s character is as fun as ever, that whenever he enters the room it is immediately surrounded by unicorns and rainbows arching up in the ceiling. LMAO! But wait, here in Ignite Me we also see the other side of his character – vulnerable one, who’s also accosted with sad feels. And because of that I love him even more. Awww Kenji, let me hug you. *hugs my pillow instead*

If there’s a person who could talk some sense into Juliette’s head, this dude is the answer! There were moments when I would laugh my ass off because of the things that he’s saying and sometimes I get the vibe that what he’s saying are straight off from what the readers are saying/complaining on how Juliette’s character is. His conversations with Juliette about Adam, Warner and the default thing were really lovely and truly served as an eye opener for Juliette and her feelings. And ughh I just admire his relationship with Juliette – which he calls princess or J. Dagnabit, Juliette you’re sooooo lucky.

Anderson, The Reestablishment and all that jazz. Weeeeeell. We get to see Juliette kicking some ass and using her cool magic tricks but it was just so fast – as fast as how the Anderson problem was resolved. Eeeep remember the focus of the story, though. And you'll be fine.

Ignite Me is definitely a satisfying, refreshing and beautifully written conclusion to the series.

BOOK REVIEW: ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS by Stephanie Perkins

Anna and the French KissAnna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS , oh shizz! I just love this book! Love love love everything about it! The story, the characters, the setting - Paris! You'll definitely have a great reading experience if you decide to pick this up. So, I pretty much recommend it!

It's so cool, 'cause we get to have this character of Anna, who's pretty much an outsider at beginning of the book from the Paris scene (somewhat, like us readers), and as the story progresses she learns to adapt to her environment (and it's the same with us). After that takes place we (readers) find a way to be able to slip through the setting of the story.

Huff! Don't get me started with Etienne St. Clair. Dude, focus on his name and BAMMM IT'S ALREADY A SWOON WORTHY ONE! *SPAZZING* What more if you get to meet and learn about his character? *DEAD* This guy right here, I can't even! Asdfghjkl love you! Haha! *Help! I'm already a puddle of goo on the floor*

TO SUM IT ALL UP - THIS BOOK MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD, BURST INTO GIGGLES, JUMP UP AND DOWN, SQUIRM IN MY SEAT, ROLL IN MY BED, MANAGED TO MAKE ME SAD AND MOST IMPORTANTLY IT MADE MY FANGIRL HEART SWELL!

AAAAH ENOUGH, Just read this book peeps! <3 data-blogger-escaped-br="">
