SYNOPSIS

At Boomerang, one night can change everything…

Noelle August has taken the New Adult genre by storm, and readers can’t wait to see what chaos, confusion, and connections arise at the Boomerang offices next.

Adam Blackwood has it all. At twenty-three, he’s fabulously wealthy, Ryan Gosling-hot and at the top of his game in the business world. His life is perfect, until a scandal from his past resurfaces and threatens to knock the tech wunderkind down and throw his company, Boomerang, a hook-up site for millennials,

Alison Quick, the twenty-one-year-old daughter of a business tycoon—and the very ex-girlfriend of Boomerang’s former intern, Ethan—has a problem of her own. After nearly flunking out in her senior year of college, she has one chance to redeem herself to her father by proving that she deserves a place in his corporate empire. That means spearheading her father’s plan to sink big money into Adam’s company and launch it into the stratosphere—provided Adam has no skeletons in his closet.

When the two meet, their sizzling chemistry makes it tough to keep things strictly professional. But when Alison discovers Adam’s secret, she knows she should bring it right to her father, who’ll leverage it for his own gain and use it to ruin Adam. The only problem: she’s falling for Adam—hard.

Will earning her father’s approval come at the price of losing her first real love? Or can Adam and Alison leave behind past mistakes and conquer the world—together?

Thank you so much HarperCollins Publishers and William Morrow for sending in an invite and having me on this blog tour for REBOUND by Noelle August. I’m so thrilled to be a part of this tour since I adored their debut novel, Boomerang, so much and was really looking forward into reading the second novel in the series. You gave me that chance and even better, with allowing me to be a part of the tour. Thank you again. You made my fangirl and booknerd heart very happy!

Just by looking at Rebound’s book cover, you can already say that it is going to be a light and fun read. What more if you get into reading this book already. I promise you that it’s going to give you such a great reading experience. Though I have noticed some commonalities with Boomerang and Rebound’s formula, particularly the beginning of the story – how the characters got acquainted with each other and how the complication with their relationship started.

Speaking of the main characters, the prediction that I have after finishing Boomerang was dead-on right. I knew it!!!

In Rebound, we are reunited with the entire Boomerang crew and they are certainly bringing in the fun. But in this book, we even get a closer look of Adam Blackwood, CEO of Boomerang, and Alison Quick. When I was just thinking about the possibility of this two having a book for their characters, I was already on board with their ship and imagining scenarios of what could possibly happen on the book’s plot. I truly felt that there’s a brewing story line for Alison and Adam towards the last part of Boomerang and I’m so glad that we get to explore that in this book. I’ve been shipping them since then. And my, my, they definitely delivered.

Both Adam and Alison have pasts that affected them terribly and led them to do things that set off their lives in different directions. It led Adam to build Boomerang, a company who's doing really great in the market, while Alison got strained relationships. With this, both are ought to prove something to themselves, their family and to the world. That's what you get in this book - business and fun. But Adam and Alison never thought that they could find solace and reconciliation in each other's presence. I love the dynamics between them. They just understood each other and there's no judgement when they've uncovered each other's pasts. Both took it in a stride and find a way to help and heal each other. Especially, Adam. My goodness, that guy was perfect. I really felt for his character.

Grey Blackwood is the bomb in this book! He isn't your typical bad boy who's always chillin' out (well, he does that) but whoa, inside him lies a very deep and sensible person. During the crucial moments in Rebound, Grey was the only person who could talk Adam out of his fuzzy mind and heart. I highlighted a couple of lines during that scene because he was spewing out some quotable quotes and it was a very touching scene. I really want to hug Grey, though.

I don’t know if I have mentioned this already in my review for Boomerang but the things that I love the most about this duo are the facts that they write about characters that you can relate to (whatever status they may have in life) and immerse them in very realistic situations. It’s also very easy to breeze through the pages of this book because every bit that you’ll be taking in is just so much fun. Even though, you can feel the conflict picking up and that the tension between the characters is already brewing, there’s always a certain air of lightness on how it has been presented and translated into words through Noelle August's writing. Both Boomerang and Rebound doesn’t have the over the top and consuming drama that we mostly find in New Adult books these days. It has just the nice touch of drama that will certainly hit you right in your heart and make you ache in a bearable way.

Prediction: Is the third book going to be about Brooks and Cookie? Adam noted that they were interacting with each other in a scene towards the end of the book and I think he mentioned about them being quite a mismatch. I’m really sold with this ship too. I think it’s cool to have two characters that have opposite personalities and ending up being paired together. That just calls for a very interesting story line, right? Anyways, Brooks-Cookie pair up or not; I will still be reading the third book of the Boomerang series because I will certainly not pass up my opportunity in reading Noelle August goodness.

Overall, I highly recommend for you to pick up this series. Yes, both Boomerang and Rebound by Noelle August because those books are such a gem and deserves more readers to pick and read them up. I'm so excited for the next installment!
