Here's the deal with this list that I've created. These books that I'm featuring here in this blog event are the ones that I've stumbled upon mid or late 2014. It doesn't mean that these books are the ONLY ones that I'll be reading and waiting for the entirety of the year. Some times authors tend to do surprise announcements about releasing their book or some times I randomly come across books with interesting premises. Books that will catch my attention in the coming weeks and months will have a special place in my 'Waiting on Wednesday' feature. So, be sure to be on the look out for that post every Wednesday here on my blog!
For the month of February, I have a total of 11 books to feature. That's a lot. I have a mix of Young Adult, New Adult, some standalones, series starters and enders. Check it out!
Title: IN THIS LIFE
Author: Christine Brae (Website | Twitter)
Publication Date: February 1, 2015
SYNOPSIS
"Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere,
They’re in each other all along."
Rumi
They say that life is full of choices. When you’re young and idealistic, you believe that the path you choose is the road that will lead you to your destiny.
But what if, along the way, fate decides to step in, and no amount of logic or rationality or even prayers can save you from your fortune? When the sacrifices you make, the love that you find, and the bright promise of the future are all snatched away from you, you’re left alone to pick up the pieces of your life.
This is a story about love, found in a faraway place by two very unlikely people. It is also a story about friendship and loyalty and fighting for what you have despite the illogical mystery of fate. It is a story of faith and acceptance, and learning that even the best-laid plans are powerless against the alignment of the universe.
From the beaches of Thailand to the streets of New York, three friends, Anna, Dante, and Jude will learn the hard way that once providence steps in, there is nothing in the world that can change what is truly meant to be.
Why is this book included on my list? It's a Christine Brae book, so it's a must read for me! I adore how she writes and how powerful her words can be. Plus, she's a Filipina and am fully supporting her! If you haven't read a single book coming from her, you might want to change that. Stat. I reviewed two of her books here on my blog recently and here are the links for that: The Light in the Wound and His Wounded Light. By the way, that's a duology and I really love the story of it. I haven't had the time yet to craft a book review for Insipid but I would also recommend that to you.

Title: INVADED (Alienated #2)
Author: Melissa Landers (Website | Twitter)
Publication Date: February 3, 2015
Publisher: Disney-Hyperion
SYNOPSIS
The romantic sequel to Alienated takes long-distance relationships to a new level as Cara and Aelyx long for each other from opposite ends of the universe...until a threat to both their worlds reunites them.
Cara always knew life on planet L’eihr would be an adjustment. With Aelyx, her L’eihr boyfriend, back on Earth, working to mend the broken alliance between their two planets, Cara is left to fend for herself at a new school, surrounded by hostile alien clones. Even the weird dorm pet hates her.
Things look up when Cara is appointed as human representative to a panel preparing for a human colony on L’eihr. A society melding their two cultures is a place where Cara and Aelyx could one day make a life together. But with L’eihr leaders balking at granting even the most basic freedoms, Cara begins to wonder if she could ever be happy on this planet, even with Aelyx by her side.
Meanwhile, on Earth, Aelyx, finds himself thrown into a full-scale PR campaign to improve human-L’eihr relations. Humans don’t know that their very survival depends on this alliance: only Aelyx’s people have the technology to fix the deadly contamination in the global water supply that human governments are hiding. Yet despite their upper hand, the leaders of his world suddenly seem desperate to get humans on their side, and hardly bat an eye at extremists’ multiple attempts on Aelyx’s life.
The Way clearly needs humans’ help . . . but with what? And what will they ask for in return?
Why is this book included on my list? Because I need to find out what happens next to Aelyx and Cara!

Title: I'LL MEET YOU THERE
Publication Date: February 3, 2015
Publisher: Henry Holt and Co.
SYNOPSIS
If seventeen-year-old Skylar Evans were a typical Creek View girl, her future would involve a double-wide trailer, a baby on her hip, and the graveyard shift at Taco Bell. But after graduation, the only thing standing between straightedge Skylar and art school are three minimum-wage months of summer. Skylar can taste the freedom—that is, until her mother loses her job and everything starts coming apart. Torn between her dreams and the people she loves, Skylar realizes everything she’s ever worked for is on the line.
Nineteen-year-old Josh Mitchell had a different ticket out of Creek View: the Marines. But after his leg is blown off in Afghanistan, he returns home, a shell of the cocksure boy he used to be. What brings Skylar and Josh together is working at the Paradise—a quirky motel off California’s dusty Highway 99. Despite their differences, their shared isolation turns into an unexpected friendship and soon, something deeper.

Why is this book included on my list? I've been recently into YA contemporary novels lately, so I decided to look into Goodreads. Then tada, I saw this book (along with several other books that will also appear on my lists). I love the cover and it has an interesting premise. Hmmm.
Title: HERO

SYNOPSIS
The emotional and unforgettable new romance from the New York Times bestselling author of the On Dublin Street series.
Alexa Holland’s father was her hero—until her shocking discovery that she and her mother weren’t his only family. Ever since, Alexa has worked to turn her life in a different direction and forge her own identity outside of his terrible secrets,. But when she meets a man who’s as damaged by her father’s mistakes as she is, Alexa must help him.
Caine Carraway wants nothing to do with Alexa’s efforts at redemption, but it’s not so easy to push her away. Determined to make her hate him, he brings her to the edge of her patience and waits for her to walk away. But his actions only draw them together and, despite the odds, they begin an intense and explosive affair.
Only Caine knows he can never be the white knight that Alexa has always longed for. And when they’re on the precipice of danger, he finds he’ll do anything to protect either one of them from being hurt again…
Why is this book included on my list? I haven't read any book coming from Samantha Young but the synopsis of this book caught my attention. I would really want to know about and how Alexa and Caine will deal with their relationship and problems! Consider me super teased with that synopsis.

Title: REBOUND (Boomerang #2)
Publication Date: February 10, 2015
Publisher: William Morrow
SYNOPSIS
Hooking up is only the beginning of the fun in this sexy and irresistible second installment of the thrilling New Adult series, Boomerang.
Adam Blackwood has it all. At twenty-two, he’s fabulously wealthy, Ryan Gosling-hot and at the top of the heap in the business world. His life is perfect, until a scandal from his past resurfaces and knocks the tech wunderkind down, throwing his company, Boomerang, a hook-up site for millennials, into chaos.
Three years ago, Adam married his high school love—and then lost her in a tragic accident. Now, the heartbreak and guilt he’s tried to bury with work and women begins to take over his life.
Alison Quick, the twenty-one-year-old daughter of a business tycoon—and the very ex-girlfriend of Boomerang’s former intern, Ethan—has a problem of her own. She’s got one chance to prove to her father that she deserves a place in his empire by grabbing control of Boomerang and taking Adam down.
But as Alison moves in on him, armed with a cadre of lawyers and accountants, she discovers there’s much more to Adam and Boomerang than meets the eye. Will earning her father’s approval come at the price of losing her first real love? It appears so, unless Adam can forgive her for wrecking his life and trying to steal his livelihood. But Alison hopes that old adage is right. Maybe love can conquer all.
Why is this book included on my list? Throw in a new adult book on the list. I seriously need to read the first novel of this series already because WAAAAAH there's a sequel/companion novel to be released! I like book series that focuses on different characters per book because in that way the author can give the spotlight to the side characters from the first book. Especially if these side characters and their back story are interesting.

Because history has once again been flipped to repeat.
