Happy Friday!

Feature & Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog. This way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs, meet new bloggers and make friends.

HELLO FELLOW BLOGGERS and READERS!!! I'm FINALLY BACK in the blogging scene! Our electricity and WiFi connection are also back after more than a month of being non-existent due to the terrifying typhoon that struck our place. So yeah, it's really good to be back and typing my thoughts away here in my blog. Anyways, let's get started with this week's F&F Friday Feature! :)

This week's Question:
Tell us about a book character you’d trade places with.

I would love to trade places with ...
ISABELLE SOPHIA LIGHTWOOD!

Oh come on, who wouldn't want to be such a badass like Izzy? Well, I really do. I just love her character all throughout the series. She's a tough character to breakthrough but once you've slithered past it, I'm quite sure you're all good. Tough girl but has a heart. I also love how awesome she is when it comes to fighting all those creepy creatures. Rune here, Whip there and just be Isabelle Lightwood. Bammm! Plus, my goodness! She has Simon Lewis by her side. That boy's totally whipped. Gahhhhd. I also love Simon's character and I'm a hardcore SiZzy Shipper! <3 <3 <3
To know more about Isabelle Lightwood's character, you might want to pick up and read The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare! I highly recommend that series!
Okay, that's it! How about you, guys? Who's your book character pick? Tell me about it in the comments!
PS. Hope you guys would check out my entire blog and decide to follow my accounts (especially, GFC)! All the links to my accounts are on the sidebar soooo just click it up! Thanks to those who will follow! Comment your links below and I'll surely follow you or follow you back! :) x

I can't believe that another great and fluffy series has ended, *sigh*. Bye bye, Suddenly Series! I'm sure that these stories and characters will always be dear to my heart, especially Chadwick! [HAHAHA! Seriously, I love him to death!] One of the things that I love the most about this series is of how realistic and detailed the characteristics and personalities of the characters are. You’ll be dreaming to be a part of their crew and just hang out with these royals. They aren’t the snobbish and “head held high” type of royalties but they’re just normal human beings who make fun of their siblings, who gets flustered, who fall in love and all that. And it’s fun reading and witnessing them in moments like that. *swoon*

Suddenly Royal, Recklessly Royal and now we have the last book to complete this series – Reluctantly Royal, which focuses on the story of Max (sibling to Alex and Cathy from the previous books.) I love the fact that Max get to have his own book because it feels like the series has now come to a full circle and readers get to read the stories for each sibling. Plus, Max is a very interesting character that we’ve met in the previous books because he shies away from the spotlight that comes along with him being a prince. That’s like inevitable when you’re a prince, right? Weird in a way but you’ll surely want to know more about the back story of his character.

WAITING ON WEDNESDAY | THE JEWEL by Amy Ewing

"Waiting on Wednesday" is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that I or us, readers are eagerly anticipating. Here's my pick this week ...

Title: THE JEWEL (The Lone City #1)
Author: Amy Ewing (Website | Twitter)
Publisher: HarperTeen
Publication Date: September 2, 2014

SYNOPSIS

The Jewel means wealth. The Jewel means beauty. The Jewel means royalty. But for girls like Violet, the Jewel means servitude. Not just any kind of servitude. Violet, born and raised in the Marsh, has been trained as a surrogate for the royalty—because in the Jewel the only thing more important than opulence is offspring.

Purchased at the surrogacy auction by the Duchess of the Lake and greeted with a slap to the face, Violet (now known only as #197) quickly learns of the brutal truths that lie beneath the Jewel’s glittering facade: the cruelty, backstabbing, and hidden violence that have become the royal way of life.

Violet must accept the ugly realities of her existence... and try to stay alive. But then a forbidden romance erupts between Violet and a handsome gentleman hired as a companion to the Duchess’s petulant niece. Though his presence makes life in the Jewel a bit brighter, the consequences of their illicit relationship will cost them both more than they bargained for.

Add THE JEWEL on you TBR list in Goodreads.

THE JEWEL is my WoW pick for this week because I recently came across it and just WOW. Look at that cover. It's pretty, right? Though it kinda reminds me and gives me the feels of the covers for The Selection by Kiera Cass and The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski. Plot seems interesting, so this book is definitely a go for me. I also checked the Goodreads page for this book and I saw mixed reviews which have ratings that are ranging from 2 stars to 5 stars. Hmmm. Thus, it makes me want to read this book more and be able to judge it myself. Just a few more days before the release day ...  and I'm excited:)

When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. I’m a very emotional reader. I’ve cried in most books that I’ve read and people who’ve been following my blog or friends with me in Goodreads can attest to that. So, it’s really a no brainer that I’ve cried while reading EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK. Colleen Hoover (MY QUEEN *bows down*) has written. Like all of ‘em. Even the uber short novella companion for the Hopeless series, Finding Cinderella, made me tear up. BUT.

BUT NOTHING COULD’VE PREPARED ME FOR THE AVALANCHE OF EMOTIONS UGLY LOVE DUMPED ON ME. None. Nada. So, if you were moved by her previous books then you’ll probably drown or be ruined while reading this one.

Well played. Well done, MY QUEEN. *slow claps* You did it again. You’ve contributed another masterpiece to the book-verse with your book, Ugly Love. It deserves all the anticipation and the hype that it’s been getting from bloggers and early readers of the book. It’s definitely a must-read book. Here’s a direct quote taken from my review of Maybe Someday that I feel like I should also include it in here because that's how I'm feeling again and now towards Ugly Love: I shouldn’t even be surprised by how beautiful this book turned out to be because time and time again, Hoover proved to us how talented, passionate she is into writing her books and how her books turn out to be carved into sheer perfection.. I think, nothing could ever go wrong with Colleen and the books that she’s writing.

I declare it and I think everybody will declare it after they’re read it that UGLY LOVE is totally the HOTTEST and MOST HEARTBREAKING Colleen Hoover book, by far. She definitely stepped it up a notch with writing this one. It’s very noticeable that her books are getting more mature, emotional and painful by the time she publishes another book. We can see her incredible growth towards how she chooses the materials for her book and how she writes it.
